1754 - 1763 French and Indian Wars
1765 - 1783 War of Independence
1791 - Alexander Hamilton helped to establish the Society for the Establishment of Useful Manufactures 
1792 - Paterson Chartered as a Town
Pattern was the first industrial city
1832 - Cholera Epidemic
1835 - Samuel Colt began producing firearms in Paterson
1849 - 1855 Cholera Outbreaks
1851 - Paterson incorporated as a city
1861 - Paterson reincorporated
